You can choose to make a Ring or a Pendant.
Sterling silver ring: In this class you will create a stunning wide sterling silver ring or a Pendant. The rings design will be stamped or textured to your liking, it will be as individual as you wish to create it. The techniques you will use to make this wide ring include: sizing, stamping, forming, sawing, soldering, cutting, filing, shaping, texturing, sanding, polishing & finishing. The skills learnt to make your very own ring (that fits perfectly) is incredibly rewarding.
Sterling silver pendant: In this friendly fun class you will make a solid sterling silver pendant that is perfect to be worn everyday. Throughout this class you will be guided through silversmithing techniques by designing & making your very own pendant. You will learn how to use a jewellers saw, bench peg, drill, solder, file, shape, texture & polish your pendant to a beautiful shine. It is so satisfying knowing you handmade your very own piece of jewellery. You can look forward to wearing your lovely finished pendant home on completion of this class.
In this 4 hour class you will make a solid silver ring or pendant designed and HANDMADE by YOU!
Your tutor is Jules Read, a designer and producer of contemporary and bespoke jewellery. Clean lines and handcrafted finishes give her designs a modern edge whilst still remaining feminine. Jules Read designs and handcrafts jewellery mostly with recycled and reclaimed precious metals, from her studio in the Hawkesbury.

What you'll get
We will provide all the materials & tools to make either the ring or the pendant. Please note if you are making the pendant a necklace is not included but you can bring your own or purchase a neoprene necklace or sterling silver necklace from $10 if you wish too.
What to bring
As you will be working with tools and flames please wear comfortable dark coloured clothing, (or bring an apron). If you need to wear glasses to see or read these are a must. Hair must be tied back for safety.
